My father did not own a car so my education in mechanical things started at school, driving and maintaining the Cadet Force’s ubiquitous Bedford 3 ton truck.   Given my tender years, the cars I grew up around are those we now refer to as “popular classics” and latterly “modern classics”, an affinity put to good use in my insurance career which included underwriting classic car schemes.

My personal collection is Renault Sport based and includes a number of Gordini and Alpine models.   Happiest when around classics and historic racing and always keen to enthuse others.
