Robert Coucher is a founding editor of Octane magazine, begun in 2003. Prior to that he was motoring editor of Bentley magazine and a freelance contributor to The Daily Telegraph motoring section and various Porsche magazines. Before that he was editor of Classic Cars magazine for four years.
Robert grew up around classic cars in Cape Town, South Africa. He has always used his classic cars as ‘daily drivers’ including a Lancia Aurelia, an Alfa Giulia and Giulietta, a Porsche 356 and 911 and has run his current 1955 Jaguar XK140 in central London for the last decade. He has judged at various Concours d’Elegance around the world including Pebble Beach and Salon Prive and is on the selection committee of the Concours of Elegance in Britain.
